When Amanda's children were younger, Amanda trained as a breast feeding councillor. She gave support and advice to new mums starting out with new babies. Amanda found this role very rewarding being able to help mums believe in themselves and build a confident, loving and beautiful bond with their newborn child through breastfeeding.
Since her accident, Amanda has had many people contact her to share their own stories and life experiences. As one person commented " I know when I talk to Amanda it doesn't matter how I feel when I turn up, I always leave with a smile on my face."
Amanda offers people the opportunity to meet up over coffee and cake just to offload and chat . Amanda gives positive and uplifting conversation which is often more beneficial on a one to one basis rather than in a group presentation.
